Receiving Push Notifications

Push notifications are used to send messages to members from the mobile app. Examples of what notifications can be used for are reaching out to your members with updates such as course closures, special events, reminders, etc. In order for a member to receive a push notification they must be logged into the app, but the app does not have to be open on their mobile device at the time the notification is received; push notifications also have to be enabled for the app on the member's mobile device.

When a member receives a push notification it will appear like most other notifications at the top of their mobile device. If a member has the club's app open when the notification is received, the notification will appear directly on the screen.

When a member clicks on the notification it will open the notification in the club's app. To close out of the notification click OK; depending on the mobile device the member is using, if the member clicks anywhere on the screen it may close the notification.

Note: once a member closes a notification, the notification will be gone.

If there is a URL in the notification, the member will be asked if they want to Access the URL or Close the notification. By clicking Access URL the member will be taken to the page that was linked in the notification. To close out of the notification click Close; depending on the mobile device the member is using, if the member clicks anywhere on the screen it may close the notification.
