Configuring Provisioning Settings
The Provisioning Settings of Company Management will allow you to dictate how the member registration process will occur on your site. From here you can enable Self Registration and decide what information your member's will need to confirm in order to register for your website.
Main Settings
Allow Self Registration
By enabling this option your members will be able to register for the site, provided they correctly answer the questions you have specified below.
Allow Public Users to Register
Whether public users will be able to register on the site. Public users can use specific modules, such as public tee times.
Use CAPTCHA when registering public users
When public users register, they have to also enter in a unique code to ensure they are who they say they are.
Note: CAPTCHA(Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer. This prevents companies from signing up to post spam in forums, etc.
Registration Email Message
When a member registers to your site they will be sent a confirmation email to the email address that they have chosen to associate with their User account. The default message that is sent to the member confirms their new UserName they will be logging in with to the website. Using the Content Editor provided in this section, a custom Registration Email Message can be configured for all new registrants.
Note: When crafting a new Registration Email Message, be sure to include the text [UserName] which will be replaced with the new User's actual UserName upon delivery of the email.
Mandatory Questions
By default, these questions will be asked of all members when they attempt to register for your website. The Mandatory Questions include:
Member Number
First Name
Last Name
Note: Your members must enter in this information exactly as it appears in your Club's A/R system in order to validate their membership at the club.
Optional Questions
These are additional questions that can be added to the registration process for the purpose of increasing security. Once any of these questions are added to the registration process, they become mandatory questions of all registrants. The available questions include:
- Home Email
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Profession
- Zip Code/Postal Code
- Home Phone Number
- Mobile Phone Number
- Any Custom Fields uploaded to the Roster (Click here for more information on Uploading Custom Fields)
Addresses
Sender's Email Address
The address entered into the Sender's Email Address, is the 'From' address that will appear on the email that is sent to your members after they have successfully registered. The email will include the UserName that they created.
Send Email To Club on Registration
This will allow you to have a notification email be sent to an e-mail address of your choosing every time a member registers for the website. If you prefer not to get an email every time leave this unchecked and you can view registered members in a table in the Users section.
Login Redirect Page
This option will allow you to specify what page member's are redirected to once they complete the registration process and reach the Confirmation page. The URL stated below is where they will be directed upon clicking on login.
Note: It is recommended to have your member's redirected to the
Edit My Personal Information page upon registration to confirm all of their on-file information is up to date.
